New PSN deal offers 20 USD credit on 100 USD worth of purchases

The month of October has rung itself in, and Sony has welcomed it with a pleasing announcement for all those who use PSN. This whole month, all those who purchase 100 USD worth of content through the online service will be granted 20 USD of credit in their virtual wallets the following month. It has however been mentioned that the scheme is only limited to the first 100 USD spent by gamers, hence giving them just once chance to earn the extra credit.

This PS Store-wide promotion applies to anything that is bought by gamers through their wallets in October. For all those who’ve already spent on pre-orders of titles from PSN’s Day 1 Digital program, all the used up money will be counted towards their 100 USD. The said deals were commenced only last week, and they include day and date digital launches of high-profile titles like Assassin’s Creed 3, Resident Evil 6, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Doom 3 BFG Edition, need for Speed Most Wanted, Dishonored, 007 Legends and NBA 2013.

Pierre Gravereau, the senior manager of digital distribution at PlayStation Network has mentioned on the official PlayStation blog that there are many ways to pile up the 100 USD worth of purchases. Players who don’t feel like buying games can also go for DirecTV NFL Sunday Tickets and PS Plus subscriptions that are set to grant access to even more free content and discounts.

Once again, gamers who wish to see the 20 USD (approx. Rs. 1,050) worth of extra credits in their wallets come November, must purchase any form of content worth 100 USD (approx. Rs. 5,240) through PSN.
