The game’s creator, Shawn McGrath posted on the official PlayStation blog that the principle of the game revolves around the fact that gamers after a certain period of time memorize the racing lines of tracks. Dyad replaces these racing lines with combo mechanics centered upon the polarity of enemies at the same time generating new mechanics in the game.

Shawn McGrath, commented, “Dyad subtly plays off the meditation theme in order to aid you, and maybe get you thinking about new and different things you wouldn’t expect from a game. Without giving away too much, you’re also on a quest in Dyad… similar to the quest a particle might take in the Large Hadron Collider.”

The game does away with traditional racing game mechanics and substitutes them with puzzle-like mechanics which demand gamers to utilize enemies for moving forward. Developers have worked on the audio visuals in a way that it influences users both actively and passively.

Dyad for PS3 has been under development for three years now and further details are yet to be disclosed.
