Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception to be Shipped With Access Codes to Starhawk Beta

Naughty Dog has announced on the PlayStation blog that Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has finally gone gold and all copies of the game will be bundled with access codes to the Starhawk public beta which is to be made available in early 2012. A third edition to the extremely popular Uncharted franchise, this title is slated to release on November 1, 2011 exclusively for PS3 gamers.

All retail copies of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will be offered with voucher codes for early access to the upcoming Starhawk public beta. For those unfamiliar with the latter title, it is a third-person shooter developed by Santa Monica and Light Box. Also a PS3 exclusive, this game is believed to be a sequel to the 2007 release named Warhawk. Along with the beta codes, copies of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception shall comprise developer videos.

“We also wanted to tell you about another very cool bonus that our tireless dev team helped produce. We’ll have four behind-the-scenes videos detailing the development and production of Uncharted 3 for free and available on the retail Uncharted 3 disc! Those of you attending our AMC Theatre events will be in for a special treat as we’ll have a teaser of some of that behind-the-scenes video content,” Eric Monacelli, Community Strategist, Naughty Dog, mentioned on the blog.

It was only last month that Sony had announced an Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception PS3 bundle which can now be pre-ordered at a price of 299.99 USD (approx Rs. 14,804). This pack will comprise a 320GB PS3 system, a copy of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception as well as a one month free PS Plus subscription.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is scheduled to hit retail stores on November 1, 2011. It can be pre-ordered currently at 59.99 USD (approx Rs. 2,960).
