Hydrophobia: Prophecy Splashes on to PSN via This Week’s PS Store Update

The much talked about Hydrophobia: Prophecy has finally been outed by Sony through this week’s PS Store update and PS Plus subscribers have a reason to smile, as the game can be downloaded by them free of cost. According to the PlayStation blog, Pinballistik, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, DC Universe Online free-to-play as well as three other PS2 Classics also make their way to PSN this week.

Hydrophobia: Prophecy

Hydrophobia: Prophecy which retails at 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 492), is an action-adventure that takes place on a floating city. The game has been receiving some attention due to its HydroEngine technology which is said to be the first of its kind. Pinballistik can be currently purchased by PSN users at 3.99 USD (approx. Rs. 196). It is a traditional pinball game, for which additional tables will be released periodically.

After making its presence felt on PC, Mac, Wii and iOS platforms, Max and The Magic Marker – Gold Edition lands on PSN this week with PS Move support. It can be downloaded at 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 492). Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, which is a digital version of the 2008 title, is now available on the PS Store at 19.99 USD (approx. Rs. 985).

It was revealed in September this year that DC Universe Online will be made free-to-play for the PS3 and PC. The title has now been outed via PSN with all its open traits. This week’s free game demos include Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest, Max and The Magic Marker – Gold Edition, Saints Row: The Third and Happy Feet 2.

The PS2 Classics list is populated by the likes of Raiden III, Bloodrayne and Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland, which retail now at 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 492) each. Various add-ons for Uncharted 3, the Nightwing bundle for Batman: Arkham City and new tables for Pinballistik can be downloaded now alongside other DLCs.

PS Plus members, as announced earlier, can download Hydrophobia: Prophecy for free all through this month. Other free content for them comprises four PS one Classics – Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2, Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped and CTR: Crash Team Racing. Moreover, they can even avail a free game trial of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

PSP gamers can now purchase a new RPG named Fate/Extra at 24.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,231). In addition, they also receive another downloadable title in the form of Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock Of Firetop Mountain which currently sells on the Store at 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 245).

This week’s PS Store update seems to be a pleasing one for PS Plus members as they receive a free download of Hydrophobia: Prophecy along with other exclusive content. For other PSN users too, it doesn’t disappoint with so many new titles to look forward to.
