Heavy Rain is the upcoming PS3 video game from Quantic Dream and Sony Computer Entertainment. The game is said to be a very dark film noir styled thriller with mature themes. Now The Lost Gamer is reporting that in the February 2010 issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine UK, Quantic Dream boss David Cage has ruled out any possibility of a Heavy Rain sequel.
“I don’t want to do a sequel because I’ve said what I had to say about these characters and this story,” Cage says in the magazine issue. “Honestly, I have nothing else to say.”
And while DLC for the game is known to be in existence, Cage explains its role by saying, “The game tells a full story, nothing is missing from it. The approach to DLC was to say, let’s work on prequels. What led the characters to be who they are in Heavy Rain? What happened to them before?”
Heavy Rain is scheduled to release for the PS3 console come the end of February 2010.
