After such a long time as a full price title, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be available for only 29.95 euros (approx. Rs. 1,880). The game sold over 3 million copies when it was released in June 2008 and the Metal Gear series has since sold over 36.5 million units.

“Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has proved to be an outstanding title, and its many awards and accolades are testament to this,” said Martin Schneider, European Marketing Director for Konami Digital Entertainment. “With the PlayStation3 user base growing at a rapid rate, this welcome re-release for an all-new price will give this growing community a chance to get to grips with one of the most innovative, testing and varied title for the format.”

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set in the future as genetically modified humans fight each other in a battle for ultimate supremacy. The mightily aged Solid Snake has yet again been handed the responsibility of stopping the evil forces that keep popping up around the globe.

The game comes on a Blu-ray disc that includes Metal Gear Online, an online title from Kojima Productions that puts players in a string of war zones and provides various game options. Kojima Productions is also constantly updating the Metal Gear Online. Both these games will apparently signify the last in the Metal Gear Solid series and promise to be a low-priced thrilling conclusion to the end of a Solid era.
