PlayStation 3 owners have been asking for better ways to view their trophies online. And last week Eric Lempel, Director, PlayStation Network Operations, wrote on the PlayStation Blog that they would be delivering various and noteworthy enhancements to the way users view their trophies online. There is even a walkthrough video to see these updates in effect first hand.
With the new updates, PS3 users will be able to view extremely detailed information on each of their trophies on the official PlayStation website. Users will also be able to compare their trophies with several friends as well as other PlayStation Network IDs. They can even compare details on various trophies within each game. Players will also have the ability to check out which trophies they have for each game, and which they are yet to unlock. Progress can now be tracked to the next level against friends.
Additionally, the portable ID has been improved with trophy data, and players can now take their portable IDs to official game sites, social networking sites and other third party sites. This makes it more convenient to display trophies and game status to friends. The PlayStation Network Portable ID will link directly to a player’s public trophy page on the us.PlayStation website.
