Capcom has released reports for the fiscal year of 2008. Now although these reports do turn out to be interesting, everyone seemed to focus on the company’s business strategy plan for the fiscal year that ends in March 2010. In this plan, Capcom divulges the number of games coming on the various platforms as well as the number of copies it expects to sell.
According to 1UP, this list points out that the company plans to release 12 titles for the Xbox 360 as compared to 13 for the PS3. This could mean that Capcom is planning a PS3 exclusive which will be released within a year. According to the report, Capcom looks forward to selling 4.9 million copies of the twelve Xbox 360 titles, whereas the company expects to sell 5.3 million of the thirteen on the PS3.
This list, although almost entirely in Japanese, has caused massive speculation as to what that “extra” PS3 title is. Some say it could be a port of the PC MMO Monster Hunter Frontier, while other reports suggest it could be a PS3 version of a game already available on other platforms.
