Back in August this year, David Reeves from Sony had pointed out that there will be no PS3 price cuts in 2008. “No, we are not going to go down in price on PS3, neither are we going to go down in price on PS3 in spring time either. Absolutely not, whatever you might have heard to the contrary. Our strategy is very much value added.”

But according to David Reeves, there is a chance that they will put more original ideas to the machine and make the PS3 more value for money. He pointed out that the long-term objective of Sony was industry growth and stated that the market for static console as well as handheld console has grown by three and half times.
