Two years ago, one game changed the way we looked at action games. That game was BioShock, which was launched for the Xbox 360 as well as the PC. Surprisingly the PS3 version of the game was announced much later. Now 2K Games sends word that BioShock PS3 will release in October 2008.
Christoph Hartmann, President, 2K quoted, “We are proud to introduce 2K Games’ showcase title, BioShock, to a completely new audience. With the addition of the new Add-On Game Content we are able to expand the award-winning adventure while maintaining the perfect harmony that millions of players around the world have fallen in love with.”
BioShock will release for the PS3 in North America on October 21, 2008. Other regions get the action game three days later, i.e. on October 24, 2008. BioShock for the PS3 has been developed by 2K Marin, 2K Boston, 2K Australia and Digital Extremes and features Survivor difficulty mode, Trophy support and Challenge Rooms.
