Official Bluetooth Headset for PS3 Unveiled by Sony

Bluetooth Headset PS3 Microsoft had released a headset for its current generation console, the Xbox 360, some months ago. Many PS3 gamers were wondering when Sony would release a Bluetooth headset for their current generation console. Now Sony has unveiled the official Bluetooth Headset for PS3.

Anand Agarwal is the product manager for PlayStation peripherals. He wrote on the official PlayStation blog, “It will work with not only your PS3 but with Bluetooth enabled cell phones. But this is information that you already know about. Today we want to talk about some really cool features of this Headset that we have been working on behind the scenes. These features will be unlocked by the PS3 through a firmware update that is scheduled for this fall.”

Well, the official Bluetooth Headset for PS3 has a High-Quality (HQ) mode and also enables accurate spesech recognition. The PS3 will be having an in-game status indicator that has been made especially for the device. It will be helpful for the gamers as it will be displaying connection status, battery charge level, speaker volume level and microphone mute status of the headset.

The official Bluetooth Headset for PS3 will be available along with the SOCOM: Confrontation bundle, which will cost $59.99 (approx. Rs. 2650). It will also be available as a standalone peripheral but that has been priced at $49.99 (approx. Rs. 2210). The PS3 Bluetooth Headset comes with a supplied charging cradle and works as a desktop microphone while charging. Also, it is pairs automatically with the PS3 by connecting with a USB cable.
