When the first Persona game was released for the PlayStation in mid-nineties, it got good reception from the gamers and critics but was more of a sleeper hit. But the series has grown a lot in the last decade. Now Atlus has revealed that Persona 4 for the PS2 will be out in December this year in North America.
Just like the previous Persona games, this one also revolves around Personas. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is set in Inaba in rural Japan, where a peaceful community is thrown into turmoil after mysterious deaths. One more thing that has been added to the game is the influence of weather.
Persona 4 for the PlayStation 2 is expected to be out in North America on December 9, 2008. But Japanese gamers are lucky as they will get Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 in a few days as the role-playing game releases in the land of the rising sun later this month.
