Earlier this month, we reported that Sony Online Entertainment was slated to release Free Realms in North America later in the month. With March already coming to a close, a post upon the official PlayStation blog now states that Free Realms is available on the PlayStation network for PS3 console.
The company’s well-known online virtual world is claimed to be the first casual, free-to-play MMO to invade the PlayStation Network. The offering has something for gamers with different interests. They can step into various type of roles such as warriors, wizards and ninjas while taking part in different activities like playing a soccer game, adventuring for treasure, entering a demolition derby and decorating their player house. There are also quests and minigames that include constructing a maze or traversing through the plain riding upon a cool T-Rex Ride.
Similar to the PC and MAC versions, the PS3 iteration also boasts of offering adventure, fun minigames, exploration and robust player housing system. This particular version however claims to further house the console’s interactive capabilities. PS3 owners can utilize voice chat in order to communicate with their friends and even earn Trophies either in combat or completing collections. There are also hidden Trophies to be acquired.
Free Realms can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store absolutely free of cost.
