Amassing all the attributes of a real guitar, the controller incorporates within it a proprietary technology by Seven45. SixString’s firmware is meant to differentiate and identify players’ keys all throughout the guitar which makes the controls as easy as any other band game button controller while assuring them an actual guitar-play experience. Connectable with any standard guitar amplifier along with its distinct dual-functionality within game makes this an innovative device for the people with a musical instinct.

“Power Gig: Rise of the SixString allows everyone to elevate their band video game playing to a true rock ‘n’ roll experience,” commented Seven45 Studios Chairman and CEO, Bernard Chiu. “We wanted to give our players even more options to rock it real in the style most suited to them, so we have made available a new selection of handmade full-size guitars that anyone can pick up and play.”

Players are required to accurately position their fingers on the guitar’s neck to hit appropriate tunes, a new switch on chording option is offered along with the conventional beat-matching system. The guitar will exhibit distinctness in the chords that are played according to individual abilities of the ‘chord-hitters’.

Seven45 Studios has also scheduled to expand Power Gig’s track list with additional downloadable content packs after the release of the game.

Packaged with a SixString Guitar, the game can now be purchased for PS3 and Xbox 360 at 179 USD (approx. Rs. 8002), whereas it is individually priced at 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2667) from various online stores. Additional full-size guitars for the game can also be availed from Power Gig’s official website.

The limited edition guitars for Xbox 360 and PS3 are manufactured with a single cutaway basswood body, a maple neck with rosewood fretboard and a humbucking pickup. These are retailed on the official website for 249 USD (approx. Rs. 11,115).
