The retro season seems to have sprinkled its magic throughout the gaming community. After a series of games, it is time for musicians to step in with their classic creations. This week, the Rock Band Music Store will amplify with tracks from Bob Marley and The Wailers album, Legend. Expanding the Rock band collection with reggae music from the 70s, the soundtrack will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
Ziggy Marley commented, “My father was interested in bringing reggae music to the entire world and now that his music is coming to Rock Band, as the first reggae artist in the game, we are excited to open the doors to reggae music to a whole new group of young people.”
The Rock Band Music Store will boast the following new songs from Bob Marley and The Wailers:

“We are thrilled to have ‘Get Up, Stand Up’ in Rock Band 3 and to offer the other incredible tracks from Bob Marley’s Legend album for download on the Rock Band platform. We can’t think of a better way for Rock Band to help a new generation of fans discover reggae than through his important, pioneering and infectious music,” beamed Paul DeGooyer, Senior Vice President of Electronic Games, Music and Programming for MTV Networks.
All these tracks which will be included in the Rock Band library are original master recordings. Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii owners can procure the tracks starting tomorrow. European gamers with PlayStation 3 systems can lay their hands on these compilations from September 22, 2010.
Individual songs will carry price tags of 160 MS Points and 200 Wii Points for the Xbox 360 and Wii, correspondingly. PS3 gamers will need to shell out 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 90), 0.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 70) and 1.49 Euro (approx. Rs. 89) per song. The ‘Legend (Album)’ will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers at the price of 1600 MS Points and 19.99 USD (approx. Rs. 913), 9.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 712) or 14.99 Euro (approx. Rs. 897), respectively.
