Konami Releases DanceMasters for Kinect

The Kinect for Xbox 360 has created a whirlpool of upcoming titles as developers unleash their creations following its release. Konami Digital Entertainment has now unleashed DanceMasters for the Kinect to stretch out an innovative grooving experience. Utilizing the sensor’s 3D motion capture technology, this new game is said to roll out a vivacious club atmosphere in living rooms.

The game creates a grand stage for players to showcase their elegant moves. With the Kinect controller-free sensor, they can dance with their friends and watch the performance in real-time on the screen. Gamers can jump into action through three modes namely Dance, Lesson and Status. In Dance Mode, they can achieve the honor of ‘dance master’ as well as unlock popular tracks while the Lesson Mode can be used for receiving appropriate training. Status Mode keeps a track of their performance, plays records and reviews earned by gamers. In addition, the title boasts of four difficulty levels referred to as Light, Standard, Extreme and Stealth.

Konami Digital Entertainment has a great history in the rhythm-based music genre and we’ve used that experience and wealth of knowledge to build something truly unique for the next generation of music games,” elucidated Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment. “With Kinect, we’ve built and created our most interactive dance game to-date with full body movement, providing gamers of all ages a high-energy experience set to some high energy dance music.”

Featuring 31 tracks from vivid genres such as Hip Hop, R&B, Pop and Techno, the game’s library can be expanded with new songs which will be available on Xbox Live. The title proffers players the ability to save about two of their original moves which can be watched as back-up dancers at any point in the title. By clicking snapshots of their favorite pose, they can create a local album and share it with others as well. In addition, the Xbox Live Arcade lets them to compete against gamers located across the globe.

Players can now grab DanceMasters to groove with their new Kinect for Xbox 360.
