The Sims 3 is the famous third iteration in EA’s Sims franchise, which has received one expansion already, World Adventures. Now the EA Play Label of Electronic Arts has announced that The Sims 3 Ambitions Expansion Pack is in development and is expected to launch in June 2010.
The Sims 3 Ambitions will allow players to pursue several careers and go down many different paths in their Sims’ lives. These will affect the overall gameplay experience as well as the neighbourhood. On the job, players have direct control over their Sims’ work.
“The variety of careers to choose from is unmatched and we’ve never given players the opportunity to follow their Sims to work and affect their actions on the job,” Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio at EA stated. “The Sims 3 Ambitions changes that. Players’ actions at work now directly affect their lives, community and neighbors and become an extremely important part of how the game is played.”
The Sims 3 players will be able to take up some of the most varied jobs choosing to be ghost hunters, inventers, sculptors, crime investigators and many more. Players can even choose to work for good or evil and pursue creative ventures or technical affairs.
The Sims 3 Ambitions will also be available for the iPhone and iPod Touch later in the year. This version will not require the game to play, and will have customised mobile gameplay features.
