The White Stripes coming to Rock Band next Week

Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 owners who also happen to be Rock Band fanatics can swing to five new songs in the coming week. Harmonix and MTV Games will release three tracks by The White Stripes, and one by Kasabian and The Damned each for the aforesaid gaming systems via the Rock Band Music Store. Additionally, the PSP will get one track apiece from No Doubt and DropKick Murphys on Rock Band Unplugged.

Rock Band

The White Stripes Pack 01 contains ‘Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground’ from their 2001 album, White Blood Cells, ‘Girl, You Have No Faith in Medicine’ from their 2003 album, Elephant, and ‘Icky Thump’ from the eponymous 2007 album. ‘Smash It Up (Part II)’ by British rockers The Damned and ‘Club Foot’ by Kasabian will also be included in next week’s Rock Band Music Store additions.

PSP owners will be treated to ‘Excuse Me Mr.’ by No Doubt and ‘I’m Shipping Up to Boston’ by DropKick Murphys that is set for launch on Rock Band Unplugged. These two tracks will bring the number of songs available for the PSP game up to 57. ‘Smash It Up (Part II)’, ‘Club Foot’, ‘Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground’, and ‘Girl, You Have No Faith in Medicine’ will be out in the LEGO Rock Band Music Store too.

PS3 and Xbox 360 users can download The White Stripes Pack 01 for £2.49 (approx. Rs.193) or 440 Microsoft Points, correspondingly. Individual numbers are tagged at £0.99 (approx. Rs.76) or 160 Microsoft Points apiece. The Xbox 360 and PS3 releases are scheduled for November 10, 2009 and November 12, 2009, respectively while Wii users may purchase each track for 200 Wii Points from November 10, 2009 onwards. Rock Band Unplugged songs cost £0.99 (approx. Rs.76) apiece and will be out on November 12, 2009.
