The Sims 3 World Adventures to Ship in November: EA

The Sims 3 is the latest in EA’s hugely popular Sims franchise. Some time ago it was revealed that the game would have full online and community features and the game was even EA’s best selling PC launch. Now the EA Play Label of Electronic Arts has made known that The Sims 3: World Adventures is in development and is expected to ship to retailers worldwide in November. The Sims 3: World Adventures is the first expansion pack to The Sims 3 and requires the PC or Mac game in order to be played.

“We’re thrilled with the global success of The Sims 3 over these last few months and are looking forward to expanding on the gameplay experience with one of the most robust expansion packs to The Sims yet,” exclaimed Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims at EA. “Players will be able to take their Sims on the adventure of a lifetime and explore lands outside of Sunset Valley and Riverview, pursue thrilling new life destinies in locations around the world inspired by famous destinations, and immerse themselves in the open-ended gameplay where they’ll discover new cities in China, France and Egypt and share new stories.”

With the expansion, players will be able to take their Sims around the world to destinations inspired by real world locations, such as China, France, Egypt and many more. Players can search for secret treasures and learn new skills while interacting with new and unique Sims. Also, 1000 SimPoints come with the expansion. This enables PC and Mac players to purchase content from The Sims 3 Store. There will even be exclusive content available only to those who purchase the pack at launch. This exclusive content will be announced at a later date.

The Sims 3 World Adventures is scheduled to ship in the week of November 16, 2009. The expansion pack will also release for the iPhone, iPod Touch and other featured phones from EA Mobile in early 2010.
