The Witcher 3’s Next-Gen Version Getting Physical Editions Next Week

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

The Witcher 3 recently received its next-gen patch that finally allowed the game to take advantage of the firepower offered by the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S. All those who owned the game on the PS4, Xbox One and PC received this patch free of cost.

However, those who haven’t yet experienced the game and want to do so on their next-gen consoles will now be able to buy physical copies of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition. This boxed version of the game is being released on January 26 and comes with a host of additional content.

Along with the updated version of the game, it features previously released expansions, Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine. Also part of this Complete Edition is a new quest, quick Sign casting, a photo mode, cross-platform progression, new camera options, and more.

The physical editions of Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition are meant only for the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S. The PC version though is all set to be patched with fixes for all the issues that have been plaguing it since the next-gen patch arrived in December.

The next-gen update to The Witcher 3 brought with it support for ray tracing and other big visual upgrades like ambient occlusion, screen-space reflections, and dynamic resolution scaling.

Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions now feature a Performance mode aimed at running the game at 60fps and a Quality mode that runs it at 30fps but offers ray tracing. The game’s Xbox Series S version, however, only runs at 30fps.

As we said, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S physical copies of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition will hit store shelves on January 26.
