Horizon Zero Dawn coming to PC this August

Horizon Zero Dawn

PS4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn isn’t going to be a PS4 exclusive for long now. The much-revered action RPG from Guerilla Games has been announced for a PC release on August 7. The game will be sold through Steam and the Epic Games Store. A new trailer for this ”˜Complete Edition’ of the game has been revealed that details everything that will be unique to the PC version.

Firstly, ultrawide display support will be added, which is a no-brainer for such a game. Moreover, framerates will be unlocked on the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn, whereas, dynamic foliage will also form part of the graphical enhancements. Apart from that, Guerilla Games has promised deep graphics customization settings, improved reflections, and expanded controller options as well. The 90-second trailer posted below even shows an in-game benchmark tool.

Horizon Zero Dawn takes place in a post-apocalyptic world that’s inhabited by machines made to resemble animals. It’s an action-RPG that has its plot follow Aloy, a hunter who has set out to uncover her past. It remains one of the best-selling PS4 games of all time and was also incredibly well received by critics. While the game itself was launched in February 2017, an expansion titled The Frozen Wilds was delivered in November of the same year.

A few weeks ago, Sony announced a sequel for this game, titled Horizon Forbidden West. This offering will be a PS5 exclusive and will have Aloy heading to a western California that’s ravaged by massive storms and deadly machines. The game is scheduled for release sometime in 2021. A comic book series that will bridge the gap between the first game and its sequel, is slated to arrive on August 5.

And just two days later Horizon Zero Dawn will be seen appearing on Steam and the Epic Games Store. You can of course pre-order your copies right now.
