Darksiders Warmastered Edition announced for consoles and PC

The original Darksiders game which was released way back in 2010, is all set to get a remastered version titled Warmastered Edition. It will be released on October 25 this year, and will be playable on the PS4, the Xbox One, PC and even the Wii U.

Darksiders Warmastered Edition will be seen retailing at 20 USD (approx. Rs 1340) when it’s released. It will feature support for native 1080p resolution on all consoles and 4K resolution for PC. Moreover, it will run at 60fps on all platforms, except for the Wii U which will get a 30fps limit.

This version of the hit RPG is being developed by KAIKO, the studio which has worked with the original makers Nordic Games in the past. The Warmastered Edition will ship with doubled texture resolutions, better shadow rendering quality and improved post processing effects.

While some screenshots of the remastered Darksiders have indeed been released by the developers, the comparison pictures will only be outed in the coming weeks. That’s when we’ll be able to get a real idea of what improvements the new version will bring with it.

Darksiders was first launched for the Xbox 360 and PS3 back in January 2010, following which it made its way to PC in September of the same month. It’s an action-RPG with hack and slash combat, and only features single-player gameplay. You don the role of War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Like we said, the Darksiders Warmastered Edition will be rolled out for the PS4, the Xbox One, PC and the Wii U on October 25 of this year. Its price will be set at 20 USD (approx. Rs 1340).
