Persona 5 fans outside Japan where the game has been immensely successful, are probably resigned to the fact that it will keep getting delayed. Publisher Atlus has now announced that the title’s entry in the US and Canada will be postponed by six extra weeks. So instead of arriving in early 2017 on February 14, it will come on April 4.
You can still pre-order its Standard, SteelBook and Take Your Heart Premium editions through Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target and other retailers though. On second thought, why would you want to, knowing it’s been delayed umpteen times in the past? Persona 5 was initially intended to be rolled out stateside in 2015.
Free DLC as a way of apology?
In order to make up for this delay, Atlus will be releasing Persona 5 with dual audio for PS3 and PS4. So the Japanese and English dubbing will both be available for the role playing game (RPG). But it’s being brought in as downloadable content instead of being bundled with the disc for ‘logistical reasons’ that haven’t been elaborated upon.
The DLC will be out on April 4 itself and will continue to be made available for free thereafter. As for those who’re planning to get their hands on Take Your Heart Premium, they may probably like to hear about a related update ”“ the soundtrack CD features Justine and Caroline, the twin wardens of the Velvet Room.

Persona 5 will be available for PlayStation 3 and 4 upon launch, as mentioned above. Its Standard and SteelBook versions cost $59.96 and $59.99 for PS4. It’ll be $89.99 for the Take Your Heart Premium version.
