Mass Effect Trilogy may well land on PS4 and Xbox One, no one’s complaining

One would call so many re-releases an absolute milking policy, but not with the Mass Effect Trilogy, judging by the sheer massive appeal of the series. The three games were in 2012 bundled together for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, but talk of the town right now is that they could even be landing on the PS4 and the Xbox One in the future. Indications about this have come via BioWare itself, having raised excitement among fans.

Mass Effect Trilogy

When asked on Twitter recently about the possibility of the Mass Effect Trilogy making a jump to the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft, BioWare Edmonton and Montreal studios’ Aaryn Flynn replied saying that the possibility of the same has indeed been discussed internally. The dream of all three games running at a solid 1080p resolution and at the rate of 60fps will definitely get many excited, but it’s bound to take a long time for that to manifest, if we’re not wrong.

Perhaps, BioWare could be thinking of releasing the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the Mass Effect Trilogy some months prior to the launch of their next Mass Effect entry. This latter game has not been fully revealed as yet, but we’ve indeed had some teasers and other clues in the past. For one, it will not be focused on Commander Shepard in any way, and is set to explore a completely different storyline altogether.

This new entry to the massive series is set to be unveiled sometime this year, and as for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the Mass Effect Trilogy, we have no clue regarding its actual existence as of now.
