A Dark Souls 2 closed beta has just been announced, and eager gamers will be able to jump into it October 5 onward. This program however, has been limited to its PS3 version, even though Dark Souls 2 is supposed to be released for the Xbox 360 and PC as well. Those who wish to enter the beta have been asked by its makers to keep an eye out for updates and information which would be showcased from September 5 on the game’s official Facebook page.

This upcoming action RPG developed by From Software is set to published by Namco Bandai Games, and just like its predecessor, it too will comprise of a unique multiplayer system. Contents of the closed beta haven’t been revealed completely, but it has indeed been mentioned that it will take place in one of the most treacherous areas within Dark Souls 2. And apart from getting a chance to experience an entirely new area from the title, gamers will also be able to have a go at diabolical challenges and the series’ trademark difficultly.
Dark Souls 2 acts as a sequel to its precursor which had been released in 2011 for consoles, and in 2012 for PC. Well received by players and critics, it got immense praises for its unrelenting difficulty levels which encouraged careful decision making. Dark Souls 2 was announced at last year’s VGAs, and it even has a release date that fans can look forward to. It is slated to hit the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on March 14, 2014.
