Asphalt 8: Airborne is the long awaited next entry to Gameloft’s series of car racing titles, and it’s finally out now for purchase through the Google Play store and the iOS App Store. Built using a brand new physics engine, Asphalt 8 is also set to be launched for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 platforms soon, as announced by its developer and Microsoft recently. It will form part of a total of 15 Gameloft titles which will be brought onto the Windows platforms over the next one year.

As the name suggests, Asphalt 8: Airborne will let you perform dynamic, high-speed aerial stunts with its intense driving scenarios. You’ll be able to indulge in stunts such as hitting ramps at high speeds, performing barrel rolls and pulling off 360 degree jumps. Asphalt 8: Airborne features 47 high-performance cars including the Lamborghini Veneno, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FXX and Pagani Zonda R. Moreover, newly recorded car motor sounds have also been infused into the title, claims its maker.
The game will also provide you with a set of 9 different locations that include Venice, French Guiana, Iceland, the Nevada Desert and more, all of which have been filled with hidden shortcuts. Asphalt 8: Airborne contains a Career mode with 8 seasons and 180 events, while new modes titled Infected and Drift Gate also find their way into it. And then there are multiplayer and ghost challenges which further expand the game’s contents.
Asphalt 8: Airborne can be grabbed for Android as well as iOS at about Rs 55. There’s no word on when its Windows versions will be out.
