Besides the previously announced Engineer, Outlander, and Berserker classes, a new ‘magic-wielding’ Embermage class will be present in this game. This ‘mysterious’ class consists of highly-trained spellcasters renowned for their skill, dedication, and arcane power. They study the magical mineral known as Ember, through which they gain a better understanding of thaumaturgic principles.

Max Schaefer, CEO of Runic Games, shared, “It’s always been our goal to provide exceptional value for the price. Everyone who wants to play Torchlight II will be able to comfortably afford to do so, and they’ll be able to play with their friend online or via a LAN, or play single player offline, all with no further purchases.”

Torchlight II will include randomly-generated dungeons which can be explored by players as they come across various types of monsters. Fighting these monsters will award them experience points and loot. Gamers would even be allowed to customize their characters’ appearance on the basis of gender, face, and hair style. Moreover, elements like pets, fishing, and a retirement system which were introduced in the first game would also make their way into this title.

Although the release date of Torchlight II is yet unannounced, the 19.99 USD price tag is sure to generate interest amongst RPG fans.
