Bioware Mass Effect 3 Slated to Release in March 2012

The Mass Effect series, after winning numerous international awards, is back with its third edition – its tagline being, ‘Not everyone will survive’. Bioware Mass Effect 3 which is currently debuting at E3 will be arriving in stores in 2012.

Captain Shepard, once again, has the responsibility of saving the galaxy from annihilation, being brought about by an ancient alien race known as ‘Reapers’. Gamers will have the liberty to pick the planets they want to save and how other such events will pan out. Failure to do so correctly would lead to extinction.

Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series, Casey Hudson commented, “With Mass Effect 3, we are delivering blockbuster action and heart-wrenching emotion on a scale that far exceeds anything we’ve ever done before. This is an all-out galactic war and how you choose to lead and play will ultimately determine how – and if – you can save the galaxy.”

Also disclosed at the E3 was the N7 collector’s edition of the game which includes bonus content and unlockable items consisting of a ‘Dark Horse’ comic book, a hardcover art book, an extended soundtrack, a lithograph and a N7 patch. The limited N7 collector’s edition, that will be available in digital format on PC, gives access to four tactical guns and is currently available for preorder at select stores.

Bioware Mass Effect 3 is scheduled to hit U.S markets on March 6, 2012 and U.K. markets on March 9, 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Xbox 360 users will get special Kinect support which offers gamers more interaction with its voice recognition technology.
