Square Enix to roll out Final Fantasy V across PlayStation Network

Final Fantasy V initially appeared in Japan on the Super Nintendo system way back in 1992. Apparently, the Final Fantasy installment had later on forayed onto the Game Boy Advance and Sony PlayStation sporting minor tweaks. Bringing nostalgia back to fans of the acclaimed franchise, Square Enix has revealed that Final Fantasy V will soon be available via the PlayStation Network.

The Final Fantasy V game is all set to make a re-entry into the gaming arena complete with all-new CG cinematic sequences that are an exclusive addition to the PSN edition. The forthcoming offering is slated to entice both fans as well as newcomers to the adventure. They can indulge in gameplay both in the comfort of their own home or while traveling. Features such as mini quests, Active Time Battle system and magic summoning will also unfurl across the terrain soon.

The storyline of Final Fantasy V is made up of many catastrophes that cause concern and havoc near the land where the Tycoon Castle stands. This includes the shattering of the Wind Crystal and a huge meteor that crashed on the ground causing earthquakes. In the light of these events, four individuals are destined to come together from different walks of life to embark on a new journey that is filled with many mysteries and encounters.

Square Enix is currently developing Final Fantasy V for the Sony PS3 and PSP. The company however hasn’t yet divulged the exact release or pricing details of the game.
