Square Enix Announces Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together for PSP

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is the Japanese tactical role-playing game developed by Quest and published by Atlus in 1995. Now Square Enix has announced that a PSP reinvention of the strategy RPG Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is scheduled to release shortly.

Square Enix also sends word that key members of the original Tactics Ogre development team have come together to create this new RPG experience for the PSP system. Tactics Ogre is one of the most loved strategy RPG titles and is the only game to feature in Japanese Weekly Famitsu’s “Top 20 game voted by readers” for 14 straight years.

Hiroshi Minagawa returns to Tactics Ogre as Director, while Akihiko Yoshida and Yasumi Matsuno return for character design and game design respectively. They will be joined by composers Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata.

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is being developed from the ground up for a new formant and a new era, and will feature reworked visuals and effects, new character growth mechanics, a re-arranged soundtrack, as well as a new Wheel of Fortune system adding even more replay value. The exact release details will be revealed at a later date.
