The last time we heard of Nippon Ichi Software was back in January this year for a title known as Last Rebellion. Now Nippon Ichi Software, Gust, and Idea Factory have announced that they have teamed up to bring Europe the “hardcore” RPG called Trinity Universe in June this year. The game is a PS3 exclusive title and features characters from both the Disgaea and Atelier series in an original world setting.
In Trinity Universe players will either take control of a main male character Kanata or main female character Rizelea. Whichever road you choose, an original story awaits you with several guest characters dropping in every now and then. The game will be in full 3D featuring anime-styled artwork.
Whether you choose Demon God King Kanata or Valkyrie Rizelea, you are in for quite a story. Kanata’s ancestors have been protecting the Netheruniverse for generations by “transmogrifying” into a Demon God Gem, but Kanata refused to become a gem and has become a Demon Dog King instead. He rethinks his decision and sets out on a journey determined to save his world.
Rizelea has been keeping the galaxy’s peace and harmony for hundreds of years. One day she decides to try and restore peace to the rundown sections of the Netheruniverse. She realizes that the Netheruniverse is in constant danger from space debris and resolves to investigate the matter.
Trinity Universe will be released across Europe exclusively for the PS3 on June 25, 2010. Prices of the game have not been revealed.
