Sega has revealed that its espionage RPGH title, Alpha Protocol is now available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC across North America. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, the game throws light on the deadly underworld of terrorism and conspiracies.
“Alpha Protocol tweaks the RPG formula in a way that makes the world lifelike and ultimately unforgettable,” Mike Hayes, CEO of Sega of America and Sega Europe explained. “For the first time in videogames, players will feel like they are a real spy, where fooling an enemy operative is every bit as life-or-death as explosive firefights. Obsidian has delivered a game that points to a new direction for the genre.”
Players take on the role of Michael Thornton, a rookie spy who is given the authority to take down a group of terrorists responsible for a missile attack on a passenger aircraft. Soon players find that there are much larger forces at work as they are dragged into a dark and dangerous conspiracy. Players can make use of every tool, weapon and skill at their disposal, and they will have access to the latest in military weaponry.
