Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World for Wii coming to Europe, PAL regions: Namco Bandai

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World is the role playing game from Namco Bandai and has already been released in Japan and North America in June and November of 2008 respectively. In January 2009, there were several reports that the game was not going to have a European release. But in a turn of events, Namco Bandai has announced that Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World will be coming to Europe and the PAL regions this autumn with exclusive new content and will only be released for the Wii.

The game is set about two years after the events in Tales of Symphonia and brings in a new monster collection system allowing players to capture, evolve and battle with upwards of 200 monsters. The game also features returning characters and two new ones, Emil Castagnier and Marta Lualdi who set out on a quest to uncover what has caused the catastrophic changes in their world. Along the way they meet returning characters Lloyd, Sheen and Colette, and even come face to face with Ratatosk, a spirit who is lord of all monsters. Ratatosk grants them some incredible powers.

The PAL version of the game will contain new content in the Gallery Mode, which is unlocked when players complete the game. The Gallery Mode includes a Skits Library which contains skits of the gameplay and an Image Library which contains a chunk of illustrations, pack art, design sketches, and more. The game also features numerous head accessories and themed masks for the two new characters, which are exclusive to the PAL version of the game.

Dawn of the New World gives gamers total freedom while creating a “custom party” to perfectly suit the needs of each encounter with an enemy. The game can be played by up to four players playing cooperatively. Prices for the game have not been mentioned.
