Details of Dragon Age: Origins Stories Revealed by BioWare

We had reported earlier about the delay in the PC version of Dragon Age Origins. Now BioWare has announced the particulars of all six of the Origins Stories appearing in the heroic fantasy game Dragon Age: Origins. Each Origin Story takes the player on a unique quest in a series of locations specific to that story.

Each Origin Story offers many hours of gameplay. BioWare has offered diverse endings to a game in the past, but this is first time that they have offered multiple beginnings.

The six stories available in the game are Dalish Elf, City Elf, Dwarf Commoner, Dwarf Noble, Mage and Human Noble. As a Dalish Elf, one of the last “true elves” you must venture away from a plain “elfish” life. Battle the human overlord who wants your bride on your wedding day as a City Elf. As a Dwarf Commoner, burst out of the ruffian life when you get a chance to prove yourself.

Dwarf Noble is another Origin Story in which you must balance politics while commanding an army as the child of a dwarven king. In the Mage storyline, you have a deadly power and you must learn to control it. If you succeed you will have proven yourself, but if you fail you will be done away with. You can even choose Human Noble as a story to follow. You are born into royalty and your father’s castle has been undone from within by one of your own.

The story a player chooses in Dragon Age: Origins determines the path he takes and dialogue options, story elements and even plot branches. You’ll find the game has great scope for replay with almost everything being different the next time around. Dragon Age: Origins lets players live out fantasies of grand magnitude. The choice of the Origin Story is only one among the various critical decisions to be made in the game.
