Resonance of Fate to get Simultaneous North American and European release

Resonance of Fate is a role playing game for consoles in development by tri-Ace. Now VideoGamer is reporting that Sega has confirmed to them that the JRPG, Resonance of Fate will be simultaneously released to North America and Europe. Most of the time, European fans have to wait longer for their fix of JRPGs than their American counterparts.

Speaking to the website, Sega Europe localization producer Jun Yoshino explained, “America and Europe is the same release. Usually the European version comes a year after, let’s say, the Japanese release. During the year, a lot of people are going to like, well this is old news now. We’re going to be losing a lot of interest if there is such a long time as a year. We’ve scheduled it in so we can get it out as quick as possible.”

Apparently the entire team is working full-focused to minimize the time between the Japanese and North American/European releases. The game is expected to be out in Japan later in the year.

Yoshino further stated, “Obviously with a huge game play length, as a role-playing game, it’s very hard to do all the localization and languages at the same time. But we’ve been working really hard, putting in long hours, so the release difference, the time gap, will be as small as possible. I can’t really think of another JRPG with as small a time gap as what we’re doing.”

Resonance of Fate is scheduled to release to North American and European JRPG fans as early as Q3 of 2010. No pricing details are known at this point.
