Dragon Age: Origins Coming to Consoles

A few months ago, we had reported that Dragon Age was delayed. It was a role-playing game for the PC platform. Though earlier it was known as Dragon Age, the game is now known as Dragon Age: Origins. Now it has emerged that Dragon Age: Origins will no longer be exclusive to the PC and will release for the consoles also.

Gaming news website Game Informer is reporting that Dragon Age: Origins will be released on the PS3 as well as the Xbox 360. The RPG makes use of a new game engine called as Eclipse. Dragon Age: Origins is expected to have a dark heroic fantasy setting and there will be a toolset for the construction of fan-made content.

Dragon Age: Origins is being developed by BioWare and will be published by Electronic Arts. The PC version is expected to be out in the first quarter of next year. But the console versions of Dragon Age: Origins will be out in late 2009. Also, there is no word if both the console versions will ship simultaneously.
