The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the PS3 Released in North America by Bethesda Softworks

Bethesda Softworks has sent word that they have begun shipping their blockbuster role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the PS3. The game will be available in retail stores throughout North America from Tuesday, March 20, 2007.

    After the unexplained and ill-timed death of the Emperor, the throne of Tamriel lies empty. With the Empire ready to fall apart, the gates of Oblivion open and demons march upon the land, laying waste to everything in their path. To turn the tide of darkness, you must find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has a powerful blend of free-form gameplay and extraordinary graphics. The characters are voiced by acting legends Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, Terrance Stamp, and Lynda Carter. The game was released for the Xbox 360 and PC in March 2006 and was a huge hit.

PS3 gamers will be delighted to play this game, but sadly, only North American gamers will be able to play it. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has missed the European PS3 launch. According to GamesRadar, the role-playing game for the PS3 could hit Europe on April 27.
