Puzzle Quest 2 Comes to XBLA for Just 800 Microsoft Points

D3Publisher brings the ultimate puzzle adventure back to the gaming terrain complete with a new fantasy universe. The company has announced that Puzzle Quest 2 can now be downloaded from the Xbox Live Arcade for the Xbox 360 console. This title is noted to be a follow-up to Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords.

The acclaimed Puzzle Quest 2 is developed by Infinite Interactive and includes a mixture of match-3 gem matching and elements of fantasy. The puzzle adventure will arm players with shields, weapons and spells as they embark on a quest to defeat the demon Gorgon and free the peaceful village of Verloren. Gamers are further provided with a closer viewpoint of the fantastic world as they opt for one among the four different classes available in-game.

The classes include Barbarian, Sorcerer, Assassin and Templar, each with its own class-specific mechanics and interesting twists which garners hours of replayability. In Story mode, Xbox 360 owners level up their desired characters as they traverse through the captivating adventure. The puzzle title also boasts of housing other modes such as Multiplayer Mode, Tournament Mode and Instant Action.

Besides unveiling Puzzle Quest 2 across the Xbox 360, D3Publisher has also unleashed the title for the Nintendo DS. Namco Bandai Games America further brings all the puzzling fun to other handheld devices such as iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Windows Phone 7 and mobile devices that feature BREW and Java. The company is slated to release the game for Android devices by autumn this year.
