Valve divulged its plans to further extend their celebrated title, Portal, with a sequel in March this year. Sometime in June, we heard that the next chapter of the Aperture Science Labs is on tracks for the PS3 as well. The gaming corporation has now entered into an agreement with EA Partners for channelizing the retail distribution of the title.

“Portal 2 is Valve’s most innovative title in the company’s history and will be launched with a first-class launch campaign this April,” remarked Doug Lombardi, Vice President of Marketing at Valve. “We’re excited to be working with Electronic Arts to deliver this title as we expand our platform strategy to include the Mac and PlayStation 3 platforms.”

Bringing alive the character of Chell, Portal 2 has been plugged to flash numerous innovative puzzles. It will introduce new and deceiving test chambers while facilitating gamers to explore the clandestine areas of the lab. Featuring fresh co-operative mode, it is expected to stride in with distinct campaigns and characters. Further, the game will portray the revival of the artificial intelligence computer system dubbed GLaDOS.

Portal 2 has been scheduled to release for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac on April 21, 2011.
