Braid for PC Release Delayed

The PC release of the platform/puzzle game Braid has been delayed by some 10 days. Initially slated for a March 31, 2009 release, the game will now be released on April 10, 2009 for the PC on Steam, Greenhouse, Impulse and GamersGate.

There arose a few problems during the game’s testing with different versions of Windows, which needed to be rectified; hence the delay. Creator Jonathan Blow says that in addition to GamersGate, Greenhouse, Impulse and Steam, Braid “may appear in one or two other places” if he has time for the “appropriate discussions”.

Blow goes on to apologize for the delay explaining, “It’s only so that I can try to ship you guys a version that works well.” He says it is virtually impossible to deliver a well working version for Windows, but is striving to make the game run well for most people, most of the time. Also, the post had incorrectly listed the release date as August 10, 2009 when it is actually April 10, 2009. The post has since been corrected.
