Boulder Dash-Rocks to be Distributed in Europe by EA

Electronic Arts (EA) and 10TACLE Studios have gotten in to an agreement which will let the former distribute Boulder Dash-Rocks in Europe. 10TACLE, however, will take care of the marketing and PR activities.

Boulder Dash-Rocks is the modern remake of the cult classic, which was first released in the early eighties. Gamers have to gather sparkling diamonds while avoiding several traps and beating adversaries to reach them. Besides the classic single-player mode, Boulder Dash-Rocks features a new multi-player mode and three additional play modes, as well as two new game modes custom designed for the different platforms.

Jörg Rohrer is the business development director at Electronic Arts Germany. Speaking on the new edition of the famous diamond hunt, he said, “We are very happy with the new approach the 10TACLE STUDIOS has taken on the classic Boulder Dash brand. The game has been massively popular throughout the years and offers a huge amount of variety for a fun, casual digital gaming experience.”

Boulder Dash-Rocks is being developed at 10TACLE Studios Mobile in Duisburg for Sony PSP and Nintendo DS. The tricky puzzle and dexterity game will release for the DS in Holiday 2007 and for PSP in Spring 2008.
