Battlefield 3 PC Patch Out Now, Console Version Coming Soon

Dice has released a new Battlefield 3 PC patch which introduces a new squad interface, fresh Battlelog features and server abilities to the game. If a post on the Battlefield blog is to be believed, then the update has already gone live for the PC version of this title. The game’s servers were supposed to be down yesterday between 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. UTC.

Performance and loading time enhancements alongside stereo and rendering compatibility for Nvidia and AMD GPUs make their way into this game with this update. Other improvements include a ‘Black Screen’ fix, fixes for multiplayer and co-op session crashes as well as negative mouse acceleration. Players will no longer be able to damage a friendly vehicle while in an open position and moreover, they won’t spawn close to enemies in TDM, SQDM, or Conquest.

After this update, grenades will drop to the ground if gamers get killed while attempting to throw them. Extra round duration and ticket summary, damage and range tweaks on weapons, changes in key bindings and the Join Squad interface are all supoosed to be a part of this patch. Support for unranked servers also makes its way into BF3 with this update. For the Battlelog, a new functionality which lets users post their profile and stats pages on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter, is introduced through the patch.

The Find Me a Squad option will be removed by this update and players will now be able to disable the privacy flag when in a one man squad. In addition, colors denoting squads and players also receive tweaks with this patch.

The Battlefield 3 PC Patch can now be downloaded by gamers on their systems. No word is out yet on when a similar patch will be outed for the console versions of the game.
