Steam transmits the 2D Action Brawler Shank for PC

Developed by Klei Entertainment and written by the co-creator of God of War, Marianne Krawczyk, a side-scrolling beat ’em up game was released on PSN and XBLA back in August this year. After being widely praised by critics all around, the 2D action brawler Shank has now been released for PC via Steam.

The classic side-scrolling action gameplay integrated with stylized animation set confines within itself a ‘bloody story of revenge’ commandeering the course between frequent interjections of racy heart-pounding hack’n’slash thrills. Players get to march from left to right across deserted grounds and hanging platforms as the character ‘Shank’. Rampaging over enemies with gut-wrenching spanks doesn’t get any better with tools that munch over enemies like the mincing machine against talc stones on a stroke belt.

Depicting a classic tale of gangland betrayal through a gory pulp-fiction lens, Shank has secrets to reveal and reasons for vanquishing his opponents. Players can pull off several combos and stampede over enemy masses by means of a deep and intuitive combat system. A special co-operative campaign is offered within the game, which is delivered to be played locally with a friend and illustrates the backstory of the revengeful plot. The prequel mission is said to encourage teamwork that enables gamers to control Shank or his ‘partner-in-crime’, Falcone, wielding together killer double-team moves.

This romping 2D adventure ‘Shank’ is obtainable on PC for 9.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 706) from Steam.
