GTA IV PC Delayed to December 2008 by Rockstar

A few months ago, Rockstar Games finally revealed that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV was indeed in development. Though the console version was released in April this year, GTA IV PC was expected to out in November 2008. Now Rockstar has revealed that Grand Theft Auto IV for the PC has been delayed.

But that’s not the only piece of information about Grand Theft Auto IV PC that has trickled through. Rockstar Games also revealed the PC specs for GTA IV. Here are the details:

Minimum System Requirements for GTA IV PC:

OS: Windows Vista – Service Pack 1 / XP – Service Pack 3.
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz.
Memory: 1.5GB, 16GB Free Hard Drive Space.
Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900.

Recommended System Requirements for GTA IV PC:

OS: Windows Vista – Service Pack 1 / XP – Service Pack 3.
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz.
Memory: 2 GB (Windows XP) 2.5 GB (Windows Vista) 18 GB Free Hard Drive Space.
Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870.

Grand Theft Auto IV for the PC will now release in North America on December 2, 2008. Rockstar Games has not said whether the PAL territories will also get the game on the same date. Yesterday, we had reported that Saints Row 2 for the PC was delayed till 2009.
