Spore, Need for Speed Undercover Hit Steam: EA

Isn’t Steam a favorite with a lot of PC gamers? Most of them apparently spend a lot of time on the platform to download a lot of games. But what about the recent blockbusters from Electronic Arts? Well, now EA has sent word that games such as Mass Effect, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, Spore, Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack, Need for Speed Undercover and FIFA Manager 2009 are available through Steam.

John Pleasants is the president of global publishing and chief operating officer at EA. He had this to say:

“We are happy to extend our holiday titles to gamers worldwide via Steam, a revolutionary technology that is one of the game industry’s most successful digital distribution services.”

As for Gabe Newell, who is the co-founder and president of Valve, he commented:

“EA is one of the industry’s largest publishers. The EA titles coming to Steam this holiday include some this year’s top PC titles.”

Electronic Arts has promised that they will be putting up games such as Dead Space, Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 and Mirror’s Edge on Steam in the coming few weeks. Previously games such as Crysis Wars have been put on Steam. Even Epic Games have made their titles available through Steam.
