GameBox National Championship 2008 Postponed

Gamers in India have got used to having a lot of game tournaments. Many of them were eagerly waiting for the commencement of the GameBox National Championship 2008. It was supposed to begin on January 31, 2008. However, it has now been postponed by Reliance World. They have stated that the undersea cable that was cut last month was responsible for the postponement.

This is due to a Fibre cut in the Flag international submarine cable near Egypt on the morning of 30th January, 2008. The outage has caused a major interruption in the international Internet services towards London and New York, where the gaming servers are located. In view of this situation, Reliance World has decided to postpone the GameBox National Championship 2008 until further notice.

The registrations for the GameBox National Championship 2008 have already been done. However, Reliance has apologized and has mentioned that they will be announcing new dates for the preliminary matches as well as the finals. The GameBox National Championship 2008 was expected to take place this weekend but now it has been postponed.

Last year, the GameBox National Championship 2007 was held on a very big scalee. In fact, Fnatic was invited to the event, where they played against Indian gamers.
