Razer Salmosa – an Entry Level Gaming Mouse Introduced at CeBIT

Gaming peripheral maker Razer has previously churned out great gaming mice like the DeathAdder and Habu. Now at this year’s CeBIT, they have unveiled Razer Salmosa, which is Razer’s first entry level mouse. The peripheral is the lightest mouse of its class at present available in the market.

The Razer Salmosa gaming mouse has a 1800dpi Razer Precision 3G infrared sensor along with a 1000Hz Ultrapolling and a 1ms response time. It includes Mechanical dpi/polling rate switches and On-The-Fly Sensitivity adjustment. The mouse features ultra-large non-slip buttons and has an Always-On mode along with a 16-bit ultra-wide data path.

Salmosa has three independently programmable Hyperesponse buttons and the scroll wheel has 24 individual click positions. It also features zero-acoustic Ultraslick Teflon feet and comes with a seven-foot, lightweight, non-tangle cord. The approximate size of the ambidextrous mouse is 115mm (length) x 63mm (width) x 37mm (height).

The Razer Salmosa is expected to be out in the third quarter of 2008. It will cost $39.99 (approx. Rs. 1,600) in the United States. As for the European territories, it will come with a price tag of €29.99 (approx. Rs. 1,835).
