Zapak Ties Up With McDonalds

Casual games website Zapak seems to have a fetish for food companies! Some months ago, they had done something related to pizzas and now they have decided to eat a lot of burgers too as they have gotten in to an agreement with McDonald’s for their Happy Meals.

McDonalds

Patrons who buy a Happy Meal from McDonalds will get exciting games worth Rs. 299, free for download. The Happy Meal will now come along with a scratch card that has a unique code, which when entered at mcdonalds.zapak.com lets the gamer download one of the three games on offer, ‘Bistro Stars’, ‘Rikki & Mikki’ and ‘Magic Ball 3’ for free.

Rohit Sharma is the chief operating officer at Zapak Digital Entertainment Limited. He remarked, “There is no better medium to reach out to the youth today, than via games. After our initial tie-up with five acclaimed brands for advergaming and in-game branding, we have further capitalized on the opportunity of brand association. Zapak and McDonald’s being the most popular brands among kids, the association provided the perfect platform to communicate with the similar target audience we share with them.”

Amit Jatia, MD & JV Partner, McDonald’s India says, “We have a history of looking at exceptional ways to reach our target audience, including in-store and online promotions. Our partnership with Zapak has given us the opportunity to connect with our consumers looking for fun and entertainment. We are certain that this will drive traffic to our outlets and also to the McDonald’s-Zapak website.”

Zapak has also said that gamers can download the full version of these games and also get an opportunity to win many more tempting prizes. So first Dominos and now McDonald’s, so what’s next, Jumbo Vada Pav? or Zunka Bhakar?
