Mac users are getting Quake Wars, that’s for sure. Now Electronic Arts (EA) has sent word that they have shipped the first games ever published by them for the Mac OS X. The games are Battlefield 2142, Need for Speed Carbon, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars.
These games will be available at Apple’s retail stores nationwide as well as on Apple’s website. Mac users can get Need for Speed Carbon and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on August 21, 2007 but they will have to wait for Battlefield 2142 and Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars as these games will be out on August 28, 2007.
These are not the only games that will be released for the Mac by EA. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08 and Madden NFL 08 will also be released in the September/October window. Of course, the Sims games are also available for the Mac. The only thing that remains to be seen is whether EA will make improvements to the NFS Carbon, so that Mac users don’t have to complain like the PC users!
