Blizzard has stated that eight million gamers play their MMORPG, World Of Warcraft. North America has contributed around 2 million players while 1.5 players have emerged from Europe. However, China amazingly has 3.5 million users playing the game.

This milestone would not have been possible for us to achieve without the incredible support of our players. With the release of our expansion pack, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, coming next week, we’re looking forward to welcoming more players to Azeroth and offering even more quality content for our community to enjoy.”
World Of Warcraft was launched in 2004-end and has been quite popular. World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade will be available in North America, Europe and some parts of Asia on January 16, 2007. Eight million users is quite something, but there are no statistics whether the accounts are genuine or not, as many players use double accounts too.
